Low Burnhall Easter Egg Hunt!

Struggling to find something to do on Good Friday? Why not head down to the beautiful area of Low Burnhall and take part in a family-oriented Easter Egg Hunt?! The event will run between 11am and 3pm, with tickets being priced at £2.50 per child (it is advised that you book ahead of the event - more information on how to book can be found at: centralevents@woodlandtrust.org.uk, alternatively call 0330 333 5302). Unfortunately there is no precise postcode to locate the area, and parking can be difficult to locate. However calling the Woodland Trust directly will hopefully provide you with all the answers you require. If you are unable to make the event but would like to walk around the area at a later date then feel free! The park is open to families and dog walkers at all times of the day, and has a stone picnic area built in order that people can relax and take in the surroundings. Low Burnhall itself is a serene area of protected land that lies just outside of the city of Durham next to the A167. Banked by the picturesque River Wear, the ancient woodland provides a unique opportunity for peace of mind and open landscape just outside the bustle and noise of the city. Hopefully you'll take some time out of your busy day to take a look around and appreciate the importance of all the work charities like the Woodland Trust does for our natural habitats. I look forward to seeing you there!
